Jong Kim Martial Arts Surrey is the most trusted name in Taekwondo in Surrey, Delta, Newton, and beyond!

- Assisted General Choi with the First TAEKWONDO Book.
- Appointed as the first Taekwondo Instructor to Instructors for the Minister of Defense (Army, Navy, Air Force & Marine Corps.)
- 1965 Organized TAEKWONDO as primary martial art trained in the Korean military.
- Appointed as Chief Instructor and a founding member of the ITF (International Taekwondo Federation). -Taught Tae-Kwon Do Patterns, Chon-Ji to Choong-Moo to instructor Jhoon Rhee(commonly referred as Father of American Taekwondo).
- Appointed as the first Tae Kwon Do Chief Instructor to the Korean National Police Force, by the Minister of Homeland Affairs
- Developed the first International Instructors course for the ITF, where the minimum student entrant would possess a 4th Dan black belt.
- Invited by the Singapore government to introduce TAEKWONDO
- Organized the first Malaysian TAEKWON-DO Championships in Penang
- 1972 Opened the first TAEKWON-DO School in Montreal
- 1981 Promoted to 8th Dan Black Belt. Elected as the Secretary General of the ITF.

A Taekwondo student of mine showed me a book from the local Surrey High School Library the other day. Surprisingly, the student turned to chapter about history of Taekwondo Original members and there was my father, Jong Chan Kim! I am so humbled to be the Taekwondo son of a World Famous father who is larger than life in the area of Taekwondo in Surrey and Delta! I thought this was so cool!

My father was instrumental to spreading and teaching taekwondo across North America, South America, South-East Asia, Europe, and Australia!
